It was supposed to be dark, wet and awful on Saturday in New England
It is the kind of weather where you want to sit at home curled up with a good book (which is what I did yesterday).
Fire and Ice in Providence, RI was nice and bright and colorful. Just what was needed!
I forgot my actual camera and all I had was my cell phone.
The first to arrive at the Meet Up was dlcmassage, and dlcmassage's partner (he wants to go with "dlcmassage's heart" now).
Actually we arrived together as we carpooled. I dropped them off at the front door while I went to park the car.
Then Thestral arrived
Shortly after her arrival CwV joined us! He doesn't like having his photo taken.
Then we waited for more people. Hoping that more "maybes" would show up.

But alas no one else came. So we went to get our salad and then our meat and vegetables for the Mongolian Barbecue.
In the video below dlcmassage and dlcmassage's heart are watching their food being cooked.
We talked for a long time. CwV talked about his family farm in CT and how they are working to save it.
As I listened he sounded a lot like Lord Canarvon to me, as he spoke about making the farm pay for itself, while maintaining it's historical importance, and the property itself (the green space). Much like the earl speaking about Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey. . . yes I'm a fan).
Toward the end we held the drawing (such as it was) for the door prize of a half hour massage from dlcmassage. Thestral won! And when we finally got out of the Providence Place parking garage, she and dlcmassage went straight over to dlcmassage's office to collect!
